Developing training to encourage corporate sustainability
Challenge
Niagara Sustainability Initiative (NSI) is a non-profit organization with the goal of strengthening the economic viability of the Niagara Region through the greening of local organizations. NSI works with several local public and private sector businesses to help manage and mitigate organizational greenhouse gas emissions, but the company needed some assistance with education and training.
Solution
As a means of expanding their services, NSI teamed with Niagara College for the development and delivery of lunch & learn training modules that cover various aspects of corporate sustainability, including green procurement, waste reduction, driving employee engagement, and going paperless.
