Family berry farm look to grow business
CHALLENGE
Jerry’s Berries, a multigenerational family-run farm, needed market research to understand how they can diversify their product offerings and where they could potentially pivot their business model. Currently offering their fresh-picked raspberries at a local farmers market, they would like to understand what types of raspberry products they could bring to market that would fill a demand; and they’d like to discover how best to position their farm as a destination.
SOLUTION
From the data compiled it was suggested Jerry’s Berries pivot their business by increasing traffic to the farm and developing a small farm store, selling various raspberry products. Suggestions on how to position the farm as a must-visit destination were given, along with new avenues for engaging with farm goers. Tactical solutions such as website updates and experiential marketing ideas were also provided.
