Challenge
Stolk Construction is a long-time industrial, commercial and institutional contractor located in Port Colborne. The administrative staff faced struggles every time they wished to update the website, since the technology was proprietary and dated. The company’s owners wanted to add a secure area for employees to access schedules and other important documents.
Solution
The team was engaged to rebuild the site on a modern open-source platform that allows easier updates and supports an employee portal. Using WordPress content management system to create a modern, clean, responsive website (http://www.stolk.ca/), the team also added a plug-in to allow Stolk staff to login to a secure employee portal. The human resources department now quickly and easily distributes information to employees and receives completed timesheets and other documentation from employees.
