International Market Entry
CHALLENGE
After having initial success within domestic markets, Welland-based Trivium Industries was looking for a way to continue the success of environmentally friendly cosmetic and pharmaceutical bottles on an international level. Without any direction on which countries these products could thrive in, they required assistance with how to successfully export a product overseas and tap into a new market.
SOLUTION
Students from the International Commerce Program worked with Trivium Industries to provide insight into the best countries to target for exports. Through this project, they provided plans that gave detailed information about: barriers to entry, rules and regulations, export laws, economic factors of targeted countries and the opportunity for success on an international level. Trivium Industries was able to take this information and make an informed decision regarding where they are going to take their products next.
