A recent quick trip to Ottawa landed Research Assistant Owen Alexander in the spotlight, as one of the students selected from across Canada to participate in the Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) Applied Research Student Showcase, on Parliament Hill, Nov. 5, 2018.
Owen, a Mechanical Engineering Technology co-op student with the Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre, offered one of the most interactive tables, showing off how virtual reality (VR) and 3D capture technologies can enhance the planning stages for manufacturers looking to improve or build new warehouse spaces. #myNCstory #ncinnovation #CICan #advancedmanufacturing
