Sr. Food Scientist sparks young minds for a STEM career

For 30 years, the non-profit  Scientists in School has been bringing science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) awareness to schools to ignite scientific curiosity in thousands of children and pique their interest in these fields.

As one of its many resources, the non-profit organization has produced a new Discover Your STEM Career video series, offering a behind-the-scenes look at where each scientist works.

Dr. Ana Cristina Vega Lugo, Sr. Food Scientist at the Canadian Food & Wine Institute Innovation Centre at Niagara College’s Research & Innovation shares her love of food science in two separate videos – for ages 5 – 9 and ages 10 – 13.
