Integrated Systems Research Technician

Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (WAMIC)

As the Integrated Systems Research Technician for WAMIC, Darian is responsible for supporting the Research Assistants with their projects, with a focus on multidisciplinary projects that include optics, mechanics, and electronics.

Darian is a graduate of the Photonics Engineering Technology Program at Niagara College, in 2024. Just after graduation, he was hired into the WAMIC lab as a Mechatronics Research Associate and now works there in his current role. Prior to coming to the college, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in medical physics from the University of Windsor. His diverse background experience includes coaching figure skating, working as a legal clerk, and as an associate with a financial planning firm.

Currently, Darian is also a part-time instructor in NC’s School of Technology.
