Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (WAMIC)

Brock Husak is no stranger to the Research and Innovation division at Niagara College. Throughout his student years, and into his early career, Brock built up his resume earning advanced manufacturing skills with the Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (WAMIC).

A 2019 graduate of Niagara College’s Mechanical Engineering Technology program, Brock did his co-op with WAMIC in 2017, followed by a contract as Research Associate (graduate) until September 2020, when he worked as both a Laboratory Technician, and the Laboratory Technologist with WAMIC, off and on until 2023. In between, he gained industry experience as the Manufacturing Technician with GS Machine and Tool in St. Anne’s Ont.

More recently, Brock worked as a Manufacturing Project Engineer, and as a Paint/Prep Supervisor, both for Airbus Helicopters Canada before returning to WAMIC’s skilled team. In his current role, he leads applied research projects and supports the technical services team.
