Project Manager

Maggie Omamoni is a management professional with over 16 years of experience across post-secondary education, workforce development, and government-funded initiatives. As the Project Manager for the Southern Ontario Network for Advanced Manufacturing Innovation (SONAMI), she coordinates activities related to collaborative research initiatives between academic institutions and industry partners, while helping drive advanced manufacturing innovation across Southern Ontario.

In this role, Maggie is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the network, working closely with member institutions and managing reporting related to performance metrics and financials in accordance with funder agreements.

Prior to joining SONAMI, Maggie served as an International Academic Quality Consultant in the Centre for Academic Excellence at Niagara College, where she supported program evaluation cycles, quality assurance audits, and policy alignment with provincial standards.

She also held the role of Project Manager for the Saint John Local Immigration Partnership, working with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the City of Saint John, New Brunswick, and a range of provincial partners and agencies. There, she led multi-stakeholder strategies to support economic development, population growth, community integration, and cross-sector collaboration.

Maggie holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, and brings a strong track record in managing complex, multi-phase projects. She looks forward to supporting SONAMI’s mission through effective coordination, strategic reporting, and collaborative innovation.
