Product optimization for organic product
Riverside Natural Foods Inc is a food manufacturer that produces both branded and private label products. Their largest brand is Made Good with a focus on snacking products that are organic, free of the top eight allergens, and contain added nutrients. Their current product line includes granola bars, granola mini bites, cookies, rice crispy squares, and breakfast cereals. Riverside Natural Foods contacted the Canadian Food & Wine Institute (CFWI) Innovation Centre for assistance with optimizing shelf life of one of their products.
The CFWI Innovation Centre research team assisted Riverside Natural Foods by providing services including analysis, product optimization, sensory evaluation and scale-up recommendations suitable for the partner’s production facility.
