Challenge
The Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens (NPBG) are located on the scenic Niagara Parkway just 10 minutes from the falls. The gardens are home to the Butterfly Conservatory attraction and act as an outdoor classroom for students attending the School of Horticulture. The NPBG team wanted to enhance the garden visitor experience using mobile technology.
Solution
The team developed a mobile app featuring two tours of the gardens, including one for garden enthusiasts with detailed plant information, and one for the unintentional visitor. The app is supported by rich media photos, text and audio, with a specific set of “stops” on the tour route.
