Challenge
Hand-washing in food services and food processing is notoriously challenging across the industry due to the frequency and amount of time required to cleanse hands effectively using traditional soap and water. Tersano, which uses ozone-treated water as a cleansing agent, needed to know if this system would meet strict industry standards.
Solution
Tersano turned to the research team to validate the efficacy and efficiency of Tersano’s ozone sanitization system. The Niagara College team conducted the testing by following Health Canada protocols, allowing Tersano to make label claims that the system is effective for hand sanitization. With the ability to make the above label claims, Tersano will improve its value proposition in the marketplace.
