Market Research for festival improvement

Challenge

The Niagara Ice-wine Festival is a subsection of The Niagara Wine Festival with different events held annually in several locations in the Niagara Region to celebrate Icewine. This year, they have teamed up with Research & Innovation to take part in market research using the College’s developed survey software “Nform” to determine who is visiting the festival, and why, to improve the visitor experience and increase attendance.

Solution

The Market Research students developed a survey, collected data on two weekends in January with iPads and used the remainder of the semester to analyze the data and provide recommendations pertaining to attendance, distance travelled to the festival, demographics etc.
