Several staff members across all four of our Innovation Centres will be on the road at a handful of exciting industry events, but not before taking part in the annual fall open house at NC.
Niagara College Fall Open House
Join R&I at the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses for Fall Open House on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This is your opportunity to ask questions, gather information from academic program presentations, explore our campuses, and find out what makes Niagara College unique. The Open House will take place simultaneously at both of our campuses. We can’t wait to welcome you in-person to our beautiful Welland Campus and modern Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Registration is required for prospective students. Guests do not need to register and do not need a ticket to attend. By registering and checking in at Open House, students will be automatically entered into our $5,000 tuition contest!
On the road
From Nov. 4-8, the HESIC team will be at the Agri-Food Innovation Council (AIC) National Meeting in Canada’s Capital Region. This is an occasion for leaders in research and innovation in the agri-food sectors and related stakeholders to gather and share information on the latest programs and innovation. This year, the theme is: Agri-Food: Bringing research and innovation to reality – knowledge dissemination and adoption.
Up next, running from Nov. 7-9, the WAMIC team will attend the Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo in Toronto at the Toronto Congress Centre. From 3D printing to new practices in energy efficiency, packaging innovations to safety testing, this comprehensive event spans five industries that share common interests, practices, and business needs.
Following that, from Nov. 19-21, women from the HESIC team will represent Niagara College at the Advancing Women in Agriculture Conference East, also in Niagara Falls.
Finally, HESIC team members will be attending the Canadian Fruit & Veg Summit on Nov. 29 in St. Catharines.
