Let’s par-tee: R&I showcases four Innovation Centre’s excellence at local golf tournaments

Golf tournament season is upon us, and Research & Innovation staff and volunteers have been hitting the links to promote our four Innovation Centres this month.

We kicked things off by setting up a booth at the South Niagara Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament on Sept. 11 at the Bridgewater Country Club. We were pleased to showcase our new media capabilities for our Business & Commercialization Innovation Centre at the event, which includes photography, videography, and branding. Our media student, Connor Gibson, took team photos that were then shared with the groups to commemorate the event.

Following that, Research & Innovation was set up at hole one at the Niagara College Golf Classic Tournament on Sept. 19 at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club. We offered golfers a taste of ready-to-drink mimosas and a quinoa-based beer that the Food & Beverage Innovation Centre helped develop.

Finally, we had a booth at the Food and Beverage Ontario Golf Tournament on Sept. 21 at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club. Once again, our Food & Beverage Innovation Centre was front and centre with team members Hannah Curle and Alison Wong pouring delicious beverage samples for golfers.
