Research & Development (R&D) Technologist
Reporting to the Associate Director, WAMIC, the R&D Technologist, Mechanical is critical to all laboratory, applied research, and technical service activities that are related to Mechanics. The position supports activities related to product development, training, and other duties as assigned by the WAMIC Management Team.
In addition, The R&D Technologist trains student and graduate employees, along with staff and researchers, on standard and specialized equipment and processes as required. The incumbent also participates in the creation of, maintenance and updates to standard operating procedures (SOPs). The R&D Technologist works collaboratively with industry partners, staff, faculty, researchers, students, and graduates on applied research projects and technical services requiring technical research support services as described above.
