Research and Innovation minister tours Niagara Research lab

The Hon. Reza Moridi, Ontario’s minister of Research and Innovation, toured the Welland campus Friday, Dec. 13, to learn about applied research projects, and the facilities and expertise available for Niagara’s small- and medium-sized businesses.

He spent time learning about research and innovation at the college, from president Dan Patterson, vice-president Academic Steve Hudson, and several members of the Niagara Research team.

Moridi’s tour included stops in the Niagara Research Technology Lab, the Renewable Energies Lab, and the Photonics Labs.

During each lab visit, he had a chance to learn about projects from both faculty and staff.
